I purchased this book for a family driving vacation that started in Los Angeles- up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Fransisco and then to the Sequoia National Forest. We found the budget hotel suggestions to be very helpful and stayed in several that were listed and were very pleased. The restarant suggestions were not as helpful as it seemed most listed were the most expensive and exclusive in the cities- not an option with a family. We were dissapointed with the one nice resteraunt we chose out of this book. Overall the book seemed to be very up to date and having the addresses and phone numbers for attractionsand facilities was very helpful. I would reccomend the book for someone like ourselves who has not visited CA previouslyProduct Description
